Hate Lyrics Murder Music & Free Speech

Gay Liberation Network Television host Andy Thayer & guest Nora Flanagan from Turn It Down discuss bands that use anti-gay hate lyrics. Some lyrics cross the line between free speech and hate speech by calling for the abuse, torture, beating, mutilation and murder of a group of people.

Discussion topics include the white hate bands on the compilation CD, “Smashing Rainbows” and concert cancellations of reggae dancehall singer, Buju Banton.
