Afghanistan: America’s Longest War

In just over two months the United States will have been fighting in Afghanistan for 10 years, with no end in sight.

Kathy Kelly of Voices For Creative Non-Violence discusses with Gay Liberation Network co-founder Andy Thayer the human and financial costs of the war, and the big anti-war march on the Obama 2012 National Campaign Headquarters to occur on Saturday, October 8th.

While both parties fight over the extension of the national debt limit, they conveniently ignore that over 60% of the national budget pays for current and past wars, and the America’s “defense” budget has nearly doubled since 9/11.
