Opposing the Conventions of the 1%

While left activists have mobilized to protest the Republican National Convention in Florida, most left organizations have gone out of their way to avoid directly opposing the Democrats when they meet at their convention in North Carolina.

Whether it’s escalating wars abroad, deporting millions of the undocumented, surpassing George Bush’s attacks on civil liberties, or giving trillions to Wall Street rip-off artists while doing practically nothing to keep people in their homes, Barack Obama should have earned the staunch opposition of everyone who truly supports justice and peace.
